Arca & Bordo

For this first collaboration with Arflex Japan, my goal was to let the sensuality of the material speak for itself.
We were able to maintain the balance, in this project, between superior Japanese know-how and the use of modern processes and very sophisticated digital tools. Arca is a chair made of unfinished wood, sculpted and polished, whose very essence literally rests on the beauty of the material. The high-tech system for assembling its wooden elements ensures both durability and elegance. Bordo is a very simple expression of the quintessential 'table', thanks to the technology that made it possible to shape the details that make for a beautiful project. With its four metal legs delicately attached to the wooden top, Bordo is a subtle play between the two noble materials.
